The Institute of Law and Social Science (ILSS), Prayagraj, is committed to fostering a disciplined, inclusive, and academically enriching environment. Academic Integrity ILSS maintains a strict policy against academic misconduct. Students are expected to uphold honesty in all academic submissions and examinations. Instances of unfair means are dealt with seriously, in accordance with institutional guidelines. 2. Legal Awareness and Engagement Through dedicated clubs and cells, the institution encourages students to actively participate in legal awareness initiatives. These include seminars, debates, writing competitions, and awareness drives to develop legal literacy and civic responsibility. 3. Internship and Practical Exposure The Internship Cell operates under faculty supervision to help students secure meaningful internship opportunities with courts, tribunals, law firms, and NGOs. This practical exposure is an integral part of the learning experience. 4. onstitutional and Civic Education Special initiatives are undertaken to deepen students’ understanding of the Constitution of India and contemporary social issues. Open platforms for dialogue and discussion help shape well-informed, socially aware graduates. 5. Admissions and Inclusivity Admission policies are transparent, merit-based, and inclusive. ILSS provides support services including access to a book bank, uniform provision, and information on scholarships to ensure equal opportunities for all students. 6. Compliance and Governance The institute functions in accordance with its affiliating university’s regulations and is committed to maintaining institutional transparency through regular updates, notices, and public disclosures on its official website.
Library Rule
•The Library at the Institute of Law and Social Science is committed to supporting the academic and research needs of our students, faculty, and staff. This policy outlines the terms of access, borrowing, behavior, and resources to ensure a productive and respectful environment for all. 1. Access and Membership - Library access is available to all enrolled students, faculty members, and staff of the Institute. - A valid institutional ID card is required for entry and borrowing materials. - External researchers may request access with prior approval from the Library In-Charge. 2. Library Hours - Monday to Friday: 12:45 PM – 03:00 PM - Sunday and Public Holidays: Closed (Library hours may be extended during examination periods.) 3. Fines and Penalties - Overdue books will incur a fine of ₹25 per day per book. - Lost or damaged items must be reported immediately and replaced or paid for as per library regulations. 5. Conduct and Usage - Silence must be maintained at all times. - Use of mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited. - Eating or drinking is not allowed. - Bags must be deposited at the designated area near the entrance. 6. Digital Resources and Internet - Access to online journals, eBooks, and legal databases is available on library terminals. - Wi-Fi is available for academic use. - Users must not access inappropriate content or violate copyright laws. 7. Photocopying and Printing - Limited photocopying and printing services are available. - Copyright rules must be strictly followed; entire books or journals cannot be copied. 8.Code of Ethics - Users must respect library materials and fellow users. - Any form of theft, damage, or misconduct may lead to disciplinary action.
